Sampo Pyhälä

Sampo Pyhälä (FI) is a Helsinki-based set designer and a lecturer of Scenography at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at the University of Aalto, Finland. He has worked as a set designer for nearly two decades mainly in theaters around Finland and also at the Finnish National Opera. He first used inflatable objects in an installation piece "Junk food Highway" in Kiasma - museum of contemporary art - in 2000 and has since returned to this technique in many of his designs and in workshops he has held.
