Valborg Frøynes

Valborg Frøysnes studied acting at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London.  After the three-year course, she stayed another three years in London and worked as a freelance actor, until she in 2004 returned to Norway where she got a permanent contract at "Teatret Vårt", the state-theatre of Møre and Romsdal. In 2010 she won the Norwegian Theatre Award, The Hedda Price, for best supporting actress as Mariedl in "Die Präsidentinnen" by Werner Schwab, before she started an Erasmus Mundus Master in Performing Arts at J.W. Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main in Germany. The third semester she was at the University of Copenhagen. During her stay in Frankfurt the performance-collective "Hika&Valborg" was established, together with four other students, and Archiv 1,336-1,337 is the group's last project. Valborg is now writing her master-thesis about tears and crying in public.
