Ida-Elisabeth Larsen. With an educational background in contemporary dance, Ida-Elisabeth Larsen established herself as a choreographer in 2010, with the solo performance Rebirth of the Critical. Currenty she is touring her site specific performance Elena Ceaucescu’s Wunderkammer across Europe and collaborating with performer and choreographer Marie-Louise Stentebjerg on their new project two-women-machine-show. As a duo Marie-Louise Stentebjerg and Ida-Elisabeth Larsen performed their first piece Back to Limbo as part of E.K.K.O’s performance platform ‘and more people…’ at Dansescenen, Cph. Jan 2012. Furthermore Ida-Elisabeth is engaged as choreographer and dramaturge in the up-coming work SCREAMS by the Berlin-based artist collective Trackworkers (led by German composer and director Timo Kreuser). SCREAMS is a collaboration between an international group of highly acclaimed artists and is co-produced by the Nordlichter Biennale, Berlin; Ultima Contemporary Music Festival, Oslo; BOREALIS, Bergen; Borusan, Istanbul.
In 2009 Ida-Elisabeth co-founded RISK:RECLAIM:ENTERTAIN, a collective which fights for more open platforms for the creative cambium in Copenhagen. The initiative hosts a yearly festival and invites both Danish and international artists to participate. Ida-Elisabeth also studies Philosophy at Roskilde University, and is editor-in-chief of the new online philosophy journal TIDskrift. The journal connects six universities in Denmark and it is the aim here to create a fruitful dialogue between diverse practitioners of philosophy; here among artists and architects as well as researchers, students and writers.
