Amelie Deuflhard

Amelie Deuflhard studied history, french, cultural studies at the universities of Frankfurt, Tübingen, and Montpellier, Master of Arts (Magister Artium)Research associate at the University of Tübingen. Scientific assistant at the State Museum Mannheim. Since 1997 production management and public relations for several theater- and music projects. Producer e. g. for Nico and the Navigators, LUBRICAT, Ivan Stanev, Christian von Borries, Constanza Macras, Gesine Danckwart. In 2000 Amelie became Artistic Director and Managing Director of Sophiensæle, Berlin and in 2003 Chairman of the association ‘Zwischen Palast Nutzung’ e.V. In 2004 Artistic she was director of the festival VOLKSPALAST in the palace of the republic with Matthias Lilienthal and Philipp Oswalt. 2005 Managing and artistc director of VOLKSPALAST – DER BERG
Since 2007 Amelie has been the Artistic Director (Intendantin) of the Kampnagel Theater Hamburg and associate of the Sophiensæle

Besides her work as Artistic Director she is a member of a vary of Committees and panels, e.i. Council for the Arts, Berlin, Advisory Council Kleistforum, Frankfurt/Oder, 2004/05 Jury Steirland Festival, Graz. Amongst publications counts VOLKSPALAST. History of an interim usage.
