Paul Pavey

Paul Pavey has accompanied contemporary and modern classes since 1985 having worked at London Contemporary Dance School, Rambert School and English National Ballet School, the Prix de Lausanne and Netherlands Dance Theater. 1991, he was company pianist and music coordinator for London Contemporary Dance Theater.
Since 1995 he has accompanied and composed music for many international choreographers, companies and dance organisations and has produced a CD for contemporary/modern class “a bird in the hand … two in the bush” and a CD of short compositions for contemporary dance and theater.
Performing many of his compositions live, the most recent being “In my day and night” for Martin Schläpfer, Ballet Mainz. He has worked as a multi-media performer
and was director of 'company of shadows ' from 1998 to 2002, a dance theater group based in Zurich.
Currently Paul is working at the Rotterdam Dance Academy
and travelling internationally giving workshops to dancers (‘ internal rhythm and voice for dancers ’) and for musicians (‘ accompaniment for a contemporary class ’) and he has taught at many reputable academies and schools having received support from the British Council and Pro-Helvetia.
