Inger Damsholt

Inger Damsholt is Assistant Professor in Dance History and Aesthetics at the
Department of Art History, Dance and Theatre Studies at Copenhagen Universtiy. Since 1988 Inger has taught and lectured dance and music at many institutions including the Royal Danish Ballet School. In 1994 she introduced and taught Dance as an A-level subject in Denmark. Inger's current research concerns dance knowledge focusing on the theory, historiography and analysis of dance. A recent publication is entitled The Marriage of Music and Dance. Understanding the world of choreomusical relations through a gendered metaphor. Since 2002 Inger has been the Chair of Nordic Forum for Dance Research
