Devising med viewpoints - opfølgning

Devising is the art-form which generates new theatrical work through the ensemble and moves from a variery of initial stimuli through improvisation towards composition and finally to rehearsal. As an art-form it leans heavily towards an eclectic process of experimentation in both form and content. This often invloves exploring non-naturalistic /non-linear theatrical expressions , placing strong emphasis on the physical/visual aspects of theatre. By it’s nature devising is truly contempoary work. Made by one’s peers for one’s peers.

This workshop will explore starting points and tools for the initial improvisation stages in this process. It will also draw on a variety of art-forms such as film, architecture, literature etc in the exploration of composition and dramaturgy. Practitioners will create a variety of compositions that will include a model of devising practice

This workshop is open to practitioners from all diciplines and is a practical based workshop

It is vital that people commit to this workshop in it’s entirity
