Professional Development Workshop

- I samarbejde med Skolen for Moderne Dans

Et 5-dages kursus for dansere, der underviser eller ønsker at undervise.



Kurset giver deltagerne:

• praktisk erfaring med at udvikle og formidle i deres eget kunstneriske sprog

• dansefaglig viden og kompetencer gennem arbejdet med dans som skabende kunstform.

• kendskab til værktøjer, der gør det muligt at undervise forskellige aldersgrupper på tværs af fagområder i et koreografisk forløb.

• praktiske pædagogiske værktøjer

• et selvstændigt pædagogisk grundsyn

• en reflekterende tilgang til arbejdet som formidler ud fra viden om kommunikation, gruppeprocesser og forskellige praktiske arbejdsformer


Undervisningen veksler mellem teori og praksis.

Undervisningen foregår på engelsk

Program:
Day One: Introduction, Overview, Theory of Dance Pedagogy
Day Two: Child Development and Motor Skill Development in Dance
(Including warm up and practical activities)
Day Three: Integration of Scholastic Subjects in Dance
(Including warm-up and practical activities)
Day Four: Integration of Scholastic Subjects in Dance, Creative Processes
(Including warm-up and practical activities)
Day Five: Curriculum Building and Assessment

Underviser: Susan Koff

Dr. Susan R. Koff brings over fifteen years of experience teaching in higher education. During six of those years, Dr. Koff was the director of the Graduate Dance and Dance Education Program in the Department of the Arts and Humanities at Teachers College, Columbia University, New York. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance Education in the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions at New York University and Director of the Dance Education Program. She was a Fulbright Scholar visiting the National School of Contemporary Dance in Copenhagen.

Dr. Koff served as a founding board member for the National Dance Education Organization, and was a Content Area Coordinator for the NDEO Research in Dance Education Project funded through the US Department of Education. She has over fifteen journal publications and has presented at numerous
national and international conferences. As a member of the Interdisciplinary Committee of the National Arts Education Consortium, she co-wrote an interdisciplinary arts standards guide. In addition, she has led many in-service professional development projects for the implementation of Arts Standards in New York and New Jersey as well as dance curriculum development projects in those states. Since 1998 she has been a consultant for the Education Department of the New York City Ballet, helping to design and evaluate several integrated school-based programs. Currently she serves as a consultant for the New Orleans Ballet Association to evaluate the integrated school-based curriculum.

Complete Vocal Technique Workshop d. 7.-10. marts

Sangteknikken 'Complete Vocal Technique'  benyttes med succes af scenekunstnere på verdensplan. Teknikken er funderet i videnskabelige undersøgelser. Workshoppen fra d.7.-10. marts giver sangere, dansere og skuespillere mulighed for en indgående introduktion til Complete Vocal Techniques forskellige tekniske værktøjer, som umiddelbart herefter kan anvendes.
