Tidligere kursus 2015

Master classes i Los Angeles

·         The Apartment by Billy Wilder

·         In Bruges by Martin McDonough

·         The Bourne Identity by Tony Gilroy

·         Winter’s Bone by Debra Granik

OBS! Tilmeldingsfrist 12. november

Judith Weston Bio

Judith Weston has followed her love of storytelling and acting to a full, rewarding life as a sought-after coach and teacher to first-class filmmakers and actors around the world.

Judith has written two books: Directing Actors and The Film Director’s Intuition. The books bring hope and focus to directors, actors, screenwriters, and other film industry professionals.

Judith has been teaching for 29 years. Since she began teaching in 1985, Judith has seen students nominated for and win Academy Awards, Emmys, SAG, Independent Spirit, film festival, commercial, music video, and web content awards. She has coached, taught or consulted with directors, writers, and producers of major studio films, independent features, episodic and long-form television, short films, animated features, commercials, music videos, web series, and video games.

The Judith Weston Studio for Actors and Directors has been in its current location since 2001. Judith is married to John Hoskins who runs the studio; John is Judith’s secret weapon; nothing is possible without John. They share a home and garden in Venice, CA; they create together; they support Judith’s students together; when Judith travels with her workshops, they travel together.

Judith’s international presence is formidable. She has taught in 15 European cities, 5 Canadian cities, in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Lately she has cut back on her traveling, and acting and directing students come from all over the globe to her Los Angeles studio.

Sought out by publisher Michael Weise in 1994, Judith wrote her first book, the beloved classic Directing Actors, published in 1996. It has been a bestseller ever since, required reading at film studios, on the sets of television series, and at all the big film schools. In 2003 Michael Wiese Productions published her follow up, The Film Director’s Intuition, which also became a bestseller.
